Why do we need to use explosion-proof gas cylinder cabinets for hydrogen?
1: Cabinet Structure
First, the cabinet body must be made of high-quality galvanized steel sheet with a thickness of 1.5 mm or greater. In addition, the cabinet surface must undergo acid pickling and phosphating treatment to meet the requirements for acid and alkali resistance as well as anti-static performance.
The cabinet door should be equipped with a safety glass observation window to facilitate monitoring the conditions inside the cabinet. A ventilation opening is located at the lower front of the cabinet body to ensure adequate air circulation within the cabinet.
The cylinder clamp must be adjustable up and down to ensure secure fixation when replacing cylinders of different heights. The bottom of the cabinet should be equipped with a reversible footplate for easy loading and unloading of cylinders.
2: Alarm Function
Each explosion-proof cabinet must be equipped with an explosion-proof audio-visual alarm. When the sensors inside the cabinet detect an abnormality, the alarm light will automatically flash and an alarm sound will be triggered, providing early warning of emergencies and ensuring the safety of personnel.
If flammable and explosive gases such as hydrogen are used, it is necessary to install an explosion-proof combustible gas detector. This detector can provide early warning of gas leaks. When the sensor detects a gas leak and triggers an alarm, the explosion-proof axial-flow fan installed at the top will automatically start operating, using the exhaust duct to discharge the leaked gas outdoors. The fan has a capacity of 300 m³/h and is available in optional configurations.
The system also needs to be equipped with a mobile alarm function that can connect to a smartphone. When the gas cabinet triggers an alarm, the alarm signal will be simultaneously transmitted to the smartphone, enabling administrators to promptly identify the source of the problem.
3: PLC Control
The panel inside the cabinet is equipped with PLC control, enabling fully automatic gas switching, as well as fully automatic purging and pressure monitoring. Its standard operating voltage is AC 220V/50Hz.
