   Metal Smelting and Processing

  Oxygen: During the steelmaking process, oxygen—through top-blown or bottom-blown technology—is used to oxidize elements such as carbon, silicon, and manganese in molten iron, thereby enhancing the purity of the molten steel and shortening the smelting cycle. For example, photovoltaic companies like LONGi Green Energy utilize high-purity oxygen supplied by Shenlong Oxygen Plant to achieve precise temperature control during the silicon ingot pulling process, thus improving the yield of monocrystalline silicon products.

  Nitrogen: As a protective gas, nitrogen is used in processes such as heat treatment of stainless steel and quenching of aluminum alloys to prevent metal oxidation at high temperatures. Its liquid form (liquid nitrogen) is also employed in low-temperature brittle fracture testing of precision parts, ensuring that the materials meet the required toughness standards.

  Argon: In semiconductor manufacturing, argon serves as a carrier gas to transport raw materials such as silane, and it is also used to create an inert atmosphere in single-crystal silicon growth furnaces, thereby preventing impurity contamination.   Mixed Gas: Specifically designed for applications such as welding and cutting, the Shenlong Oxygen Plant customizes a mixed gas consisting of 80% argon plus 20% carbon dioxide, which enhances weld strength and reduces spatter.
